Job summary

Goodwill Industries Of Dallas is seeking an Entry level Textile Grader in Rockwall, TX to grade donated textiles by brand and quality using our standard good/better/best grading system. You will keep your workstation clean, neat, and safe while supporting production flow.

Responsibilities include grading textiles, maintaining a neat workspace, adhering to dress code and company policies, and participating in ongoing training and team initiatives. Prior retail experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• Ability to react calmly and react to emergency situations.

• Knowledge of shoe brands and current trends.

SUMMARY

Under the direction of the Team Leader and Production Team Leader, the Textile Grader is responsible for grading donated textiles based on brand and quality using Goodwill's good, better, and best grading process. In addition, the Textile Grader must maintain the production area by keeping the workstation clean, neat, and in a safe condition.

• Keep the production area clean, neat, and safe.


• Maintain a well-groomed appearance and appropriate dress code including name badge.

Education and/or Experience:

Previous retail and/or stock handling experience is preferred.

Physical and Environmental Requirements:

• Regularly lift and /or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.


• Vision abilities required by this job include close, distance, color vision, and the ability to adjust focus.


• Standing and walking for long periods of time.


• Ability to stoop, bend, kneel, push and pull.


• Sufficient mobility to turn from side to side and the ability to lean and remove items from containers.


• The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate (examples: business office with computers and printers, light traffic).
