University of Michigan is seeking a GRADER I for ARI 410/510 (Student/Work Study) at UM-Flint. The role involves objective grading and recording student assessments as directed by the instructor, with hybrid work arrangements and a focus on machine learning concepts.
The candidate should be a current UM-Flint undergraduate student, familiar with Python, and experienced in training/evaluating ML models, understanding core ML algorithms and best practices.

This position will not involve instruction, subjective grading, mentoring, or tutoring.
Study of machine learning, a subfield of artificial intelligence intersecting with statistics, cognitive science, information theory, optimization, and probability theory. Topics include but are not limited to linear discriminants, neural networks, decision trees, support vector machines, unsupervised learning, and reinforcement learning. With examples from real-world applications, students learn to build systems that learn and adapt from experience. Graded ABCDE

Hybrid
The work requirements allow both onsite and offsite work and an employee has an expected recurring onsite presence. On occasion, the employee may be required and must be available to work onsite more frequently if necessitated by unit leadership or their designee and/or the job requirements.
