Responsibilities

• Ensure HW standards for cut parameters and inclusions.
• Inspect jewelry and loose stones for HW quality and integrity.
• Communicate supplier rejection rates and reasons to leadership.
• Maintain Inventory Control throughout grading, stocking processes.
• Review loose diamonds returned from manufacturing for damage.
• Assist Director and Manager on special projects as warranted.
• Fill work orders by selecting stones matching quality standards.

Job description

The primary purpose of this position is to ensure that the diamond quality standards of Harry Winston are met by grading melee and certified diamonds.

Key Duties, Responsibilities and Accountabilities

• Grading, evaluating and plotting diamonds that are either under consideration for purchase or stones that are in existing inventory/ product
• Grading and sorting melee diamonds according to MM size, color, clarity requirements
• Ensuring that HW standards are met with regards to cut parameters and types of inclusions
• Inspecting diamonds in finished jewelry and loose layouts for non-HW quality or for damaged stones in an effort to maintain HW quality standards and in order to guarantee consistency and integrity of our product
• Communicating with the Director and Manager on supplier rejection rates and reasons
• Responsible for ensuring that all Inventory Control requirements are being met throughout the grading/selecting and stocking processes
• Reviewing loose diamonds returned from manufacturing to document any damage caused
• Assisting the Director and Manager on special projects, as warranted
• Filling work orders, as needed, by selecting stones that adhere to our strict quality and matching standards

Job Qualifications
