Job summary

Caton Construction Group seeks a Grade Foreman for a roadway project in Catawba County, near Hickory, NC. The role leads a grading crew to perform mass earthwork and excavating while ensuring safety and adherence to plans under the supervision of the Superintendent.

The position is full-time, with typical hours Monday–Friday and possible overtime/local travel. Applicants should have a high school diploma and proven foreman experience; a trade diploma is a plus.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Proven experience as construction foreman is expected.
• Diploma in a skilled trade (electrician, carpenter etc.) is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate grading crew and plan schedules.
• Produce schedules and monitor attendance of crew.
• Allocate general and daily responsibilities and supervise workers.
• Ensure safety and quality standards are met.
• Monitor use of machinery and equipment and stay within budget.

Education
