Job summary

Caton Construction Group is seeking a Grade Foreman in Winston-Salem, NC to lead a grading crew on bridge and roadway projects. You will organize field teams, plan work, and ensure safety and quality on mass earthwork operations. Local travel and occasional overnight stays may be required.

The role requires a high school diploma or equivalent and proven foreman experience; a skilled-trade diploma is a plus. We offer a strong team environment and benefits.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Proven experience as construction foreman.
• Diploma in a skilled trade is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate construction work according to priorities and plans.
• Plan, organize and lead grading crew.
• Produce schedules and monitor attendance of crew.
• Allocate general and daily responsibilities.
• Coordinate tasks according to priorities and plans.
• Schedule material quantities and deliveries; coordinate trucking needs.
• Supervise and train workers and tradespeople.
• Ensure labor and other resources are adequate.
• Guarantee safety precautions and quality standards.
• Supervise use of machinery and equipment.
• Monitor expenditure and stay within budget.
• Report progress to managers and engineers.
