Qualifications

  • Experience as a Teaching Assistant working with children and young people.
  • Ability to support learning, development, communication, independence and wellbeing.
  • Strong interpersonal skills to build relationships with pupils, families and staff.

Responsibilities

  • Provide one-to-one and small-group support to pupils.
  • Support individual learning and development programmes.
  • Help plan, deliver and adapt activities to meet needs.
  • Support pupils with additional needs and promote inclusion.
  • Develop positive relationships and promote independence and wellbeing.
  • Support communication and social development.
  • Assist with safeguarding and school policies.
  • Contribute to monitoring pupil progress and teamwork with a multi-professional team.
