Qualifications

• High school diploma required; Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Experience with ABA methodology and/or prior experience working with students with Autism Spectrum Disorder preferred.
• Demonstrates a mindset that focuses on assets & growth, as opposed to deficits.
• Citizenship, residency or work visa required

Responsibilities

• Work under the direction of the supervising Special Educator to implement IEP services.
• Help collect and/or prepare materials to support learning for target students.
• Provide reinforcement to students in academic areas as directed by supervisor.
• Implement behavior plans as directed by supervisor.
• Collect data as directed by supervisor.
• Help plan scheduling for meeting the needs of students.
• Communicate regularly with teachers as to student’s needs and progress.
• Aid teacher in communication between home and school.
• Treat all information about the school, teachers, children and their families as strictly confidential.
