Job summary

Spectrum Health in Grand Rapids is seeking Registered Nurses for the 7 South Progressive Neuroscience unit, a 22-bed center for stroke and epilepsy care with EEG monitoring. You will deliver bedside nursing using the ANA process and collaborate with a supportive, learning-oriented team.

Night shifts, 7:00 p.m.–7:30 a.m., 36 hours weekly, with a variable weekend schedule. New graduates and experienced nurses are welcomed to grow professionally in a hospital system known for quality care and staff

Qualifications

• Associates in Nursing Required.
• Bachelors in Nursing Required within 5 years.
• MI Registered Nurse (RN) Required.
• AHA or ARC Basic Life Support (BLS) Required within 90 days.

Responsibilities

• Delivers nursing care responsibly and accountably as described by the ANA and legally by the State of Michigan.
• Demonstrates competency through the nursing process (assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, evaluation).
• Upholds professional standards and engages in ethical, culturally congruent practice and collaboration.

About the unit 7 South

About the unit 7 South is a 22 bed Progressive Neuroscience unit located within Butterworth Hospital. This unit specializes in the care of stroke and adult epilepsy patients. As an accredited comprehensive stroke center, we have the ability to receive and treat the most complex stroke cases. Additionally, our epilepsy program performs a range of EEG monitoring from routine up to surgical implantation. Although this is a specialized unit, there is still a lot to learn due to the variety of conditions patients can have in addition to their stroke. Teamwork on this unit is known to be exceptional. Members of 7 South team assist each other in any way they can giving this unit a very welcoming and warm atmosphere. 7 South welcomes new graduates and experienced healthcare professionals alike and gives them the chance to continue to learn and grow their skills no matter their experience.
