Job summary

Supermicro, based in San Jose, CA, seeks a System Engineer to support the development of technical collateral for in-house GPU server products. You will define and implement cutting-edge data center and server technologies, and create proof-of-concepts and feature presentations for industry events.

You will serve as the go-to expert for system and application benchmarks related to GPU and networking/DPU, collaborating with product managers and system engineers.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or Computer Engineering is required.
• Minimum of 2 years hands-on experience in system/server architecture development and debugging.
• GPU experience and networking/DPU experience are pluses.

Responsibilities

• Root Cause Diagnosis: identify and analyze root causes of system failures.
• Product Development: provide prompt internal responses to hands-on development, assembly, and support.
• Customer On-site Support: 20% travel for on-site collaboration and support.
• Test Automation and Review: use scripting to automate validation tests and communicate findings.
• Collaborative Product Requirements: work with Sales, Field Engineers, and Product Managers to refine requirements.
• Cross-Functional Project Work: engage with Engineering, Sales, and IT on assigned projects.
