Job summary

Amazon Data Services, Inc. in Seattle seeks a Hardware Development Engineer to join our GPU server platforms team. You will learn end-to-end how servers work—hardware, firmware, software, and operations—and contribute to a fleet that powers AI at scale.

You won't need to know everything at first; you will be mentored by experienced engineers, diagnose hardware issues, build tools to catch problems, and help improve the reliability of infrastructure powering the next generation of AI.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in electrical or computer engineering or equivalent.
• Experience communicating technical concepts clearly.
• Hands-on Linux experience.

Responsibilities

• Investigate and root cause hardware issues on GPU server platforms.
• Analyze failure data and identify systemic problems.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to close loop between field failures and design.
• Contribute to design reviews for new server platforms.
• Develop runbooks and document findings.
• Learn from senior engineers and ramp up on real fleet challenges.
