Job summary

Parasail is seeking a Supply Chain & Procurement Lead to own supplier relationships, purchasing, and planning for our GPU infrastructure. You will negotiate with vendors, manage deliveries, and oversee lifecycle of hardware from suppliers through deployment.

This early-stage role combines strategy and execution, working with engineering, finance, and our deployment teams to ensure purchases match deployment needs and budget constraints.

Qualifications

• Experience owning hardware procurement, supply chain, or materials planning in cloud infrastructure, data centers, electronics, or another complex hardware environment.
• Direct responsibility for supplier relationships, commercial negotiations, purchasing decisions, and delivery commitments.
• Experience managing supply against changing demand, including shortages, long lead times, configuration changes, and excess inventory.
• An understanding of server and infrastructure hardware to work with engineering on specs and tradeoffs.
• Strong analytical skills and experience building planning tools, procurement workflows, or inventory reporting.
• Track record of resolving problems across suppliers, logistics providers, finance, and tech teams.

Responsibilities

• Own supplier relationships and manage pricing, availability, quality, delivery, and support.
• Lead sourcing and purchasing for GPUs, servers, networking equipment, racks, and spares.
• Build the supply plan translating capacity needs into purchases.
• Drive delivery commitments and resolve delays or discrepancies.
• Partner with engineering on hardware specs and cost tradeoffs.
• Manage inventory, warranties, returns, and end-of-life disposition.
• Balance total acquisition costs with payment terms and budget constraints.
• Build procurement systems, workflows, and controls as volume grows.
• Keep supply and deployment aligned with milestones and risk management.
• Help hire and develop a procurement team as demand grows.
