Job summary

Peoples Gas System in Florida seeks a GPS Technician I to support, administer, and test GPS and GIS applications in field and office settings. You will QA/QC mapping data, maintain land base information, and produce maps, queries, and reports to support operations.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Knowledge and experience with GPS field collection software and hardware.
• Geography, GIS, or drafting degrees may substitute for some experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide user support and training for GPS Barcoding and GIS data usage.
• Troubleshoot GPS/Barcoding equipment and manage inventory.
• Assist in process improvement and testing of GPS/mapping software and workflows.
• Create ad-hoc maps, displays, reports, and queries to meet end-user needs.
• Update GIS land-base information and support field-asset mapping.
