Job summary

Applied Materials, Inc. in Santa Clara, CA is seeking a detailed service professional to develop BKMs, support new products, and lead failure analysis as needed.

You will collaborate with Engineering, Manufacturing and Quality teams to ensure robust product support and documentation across the product lifecycle. The role emphasizes procedural development, training creation with GTT, and adherence to CAPA processes, enabling reliable field service and product performance on advanced semiconductor

Qualifications

• Experience in servicing or developing procedures for new semiconductor products.
• Familiarity with CAPA processes and quality/reliability review workflows.
• Ability to document procedures and train others in technical domains.

Responsibilities

• Develop new procedures and Best Known Methods (BKMs) to service new products.
• Contribute to the FMECA process.
• Participate in or own first chamber Build & Test in Apps lab.
• Troubleshoot issues or collaborate with Engineering to address them.
• Work with Manufacturing to develop procedures and participate on New Product final test.
• Partner with Q&R to review Top Field Issues and address them.
• Participate in or own CAPA process.
• Conduct or facilitate Failure Analysis (FA) as needed.
• Develop and document procedures to install, retrofit and maintain the product (Technical Product Manuals).
• Create Customer Engineering Notices (CENs), ISBs and troubleshooting guides as required.
• Collect process and qualification data to create BKMs.
• Develop initial training package for new products and coordinate with Global Technical Training (GTT) to deliver training.
