Sunrise Transportation - Student Transportation of America Inc. is seeking a GPS Clerk to monitor real-time vehicle movements and optimize fleet operations. The role supports driver safety and timely deliveries by communicating with drivers and dispatch teams.

Responsibilities include tracking GPS data, setting geofences, generating reports, and collaborating on system improvements while maintaining accurate records. This is a full-time, temporary position with standard Monday–Friday hours.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate degree in logistics or supply chain management is a plus.
• 1-2 years of experience in logistics, dispatch, data entry, or a similar administrative role.
• Proficiency with GPS tracking software (e.g., Samsara, Geotab, Verizon Connect) and Microsoft Office Excel.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills for coordinating with on-the-road drivers.
• Ability to spot minor discrepancies in routes, times, and system data quickly.
• Ability to follow company policies and standards.

Job Summary

The GPS Clerk is responsible for monitoring, tracking, and reporting the real-time movement of company vehicles and assets using Global Positioning System (GPS) software. This role ensures driver safety, route efficiency, and timely deliveries by identifying delays and communicating directly with drivers and dispatch teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Monitor GPS tracking systems to ensure timely fleet operations
• Set up and monitor geofences to track arrival and departure times
• Monitor alerts, deviations, delays and any issues or concerns
• Communicate with drivers, dispatchers, and other terminal personnel regarding any issues that arise
• Maintain accurate records and documentation
