Job summary

Jefferies in New York seeks an Associate to join the firm’s Secondary Advisory team, focusing on GP-led secondary transactions, including single-asset and multi-asset continuation vehicles.

The Associate will play a central role in execution leadership, sponsor relationship management, and transaction structuring, working closely with Managing Directors, senior distribution professionals, and sector banking teams across the private capital markets.

Qualifications

• 2-5+ years of experience in investment banking, private capital advisory, or secondary advisory.
• Direct exposure to GP-led transactions or complex sponsor situations.
• Strong foundation in valuation, LBO modeling, and private fund economics.
• Ability to manage complex processes and senior stakeholder relationships.
• Demonstrated leadership and team management capabilities.

Responsibilities

• Lead/co-lead day-to-day execution of single-asset and multi-asset continuation vehicle transactions
• Own financial modeling, valuation analysis, and underwriting materials at both asset and fund level
• Prepare and manage CIMs, management presentations, term sheets, and LP election materials
• Coordinate buyer outreach, bid evaluation, syndication, and closing logistics
• Serve as a day-to-day coverage point for financial sponsors
• Manage Analysts, maintaining high execution standards
• Support senior bankers in origination and strategic advisory dialogue with GPs
