Job summary

Accenture is seeking a Government Compliance Counsel to advance the company’s compliance with public procurement laws and internal policies. The role supports the Government Compliance Officer and Director in managing the Government Compliance program and serves as a subject-matter expert on public procurement obligations.

The Counsel will coordinate with teams across CORE, Global Contracting, and outside counsel, helping to assess risks, develop policies, and train staff.

Qualifications

  • JD or equivalent law degree.
  • Minimum of 5 years as a Compliance Attorney with expertise in public procurement rules and US Government Compliance obligations.
  • Experience with a law firm or global corporation preferred.
  • Familiarity with the European Union public tender laws and procedures.

Responsibilities

  • Supports the implementation and execution of Accenture’s Government Compliance program initiatives.
  • Development and delivery of Government Compliance training
  • Development, review and implementation of Government Compliance policies and internal controls
  • Planning and drafting Government Compliance communications with internal stakeholders
  • Working with senior management and outside counsel to conduct risk assessments and improve the program
  • Provides objective, focused, practical advice regarding compliance with public procurement rules and related policies
  • Collaborates with Legal to identify, analyze and mitigate Government Compliance risks
  • Collaborates with CORE to provide thought leadership and policy development
  • Conducts localized training on Government Compliance issues
  • Responds to and helps manage internal audits and government investigations related to Government Compliance issues
