Job summary

State of West Virginia is seeking a Director to oversee the Governor’s Office constituent services team, scheduling and events coordination, and board appointment processes. This role supports the Chief of Staff and works with External Affairs to ensure efficient operations and integrity across public-facing activities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in public administration, business, human resources or law.
• 4+ years of experience in senior operations or public administration.
• Experience in matrixed management structures and coordinating with cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the constituent services team and ensure timely completion of casework and correspondence.
• Manage Governor’s scheduling and support team and ensure timely responses and proper briefing materials.
• Coordinate with Communications, External Affairs and Legislative Affairs to align Governor’s schedule with external events.
• Oversee the Governor’s Office events coordinator and ensure coordination with relevant teams.
• Identify upcoming board vacancies and manage vetting processes for board/commission appointments.
• Assist in identifying, vetting, and recommending potential state government appointees.
