Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer Government Service Building Control Access in Jamaica, NY. You will monitor and patrol assigned areas, verify visitor authorization, and maintain a visible security presence to deter incidents.

This full-time position pays $18.87 per hour with a 9:00 AM–5:00 PM schedule. Candidates need at least 1 year of security-related experience, a high school diploma, and must pass background checks and drug screening as required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Background investigation and drug screen required.
• License requirements may apply depending on state/local laws.
• 1 year of security-related, law enforcement, or military experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to visitors, staff and the public while following site procedures.
• Monitor access points, verify visitor authorization and maintain awareness of activity.
• Respond calmly to incidents and notify site personnel or emergency services as needed.
• Conduct regular unarmed patrols of interior/exterior areas and report unusual activity.
• Document daily activities and incidents in clear reports for supervision.
