Allied Universal, a leading security services company, is hiring a Security Officer Government Services Building Access Control in New York, NY. You will safeguard government service locations, monitor access, and maintain a welcoming environment while delivering professional service.

Role requires relevant security experience, background check, and compliance with laws. This full-time position offers a consistent daytime schedule and a competitive hourly pay rate of $18.87.

Qualifications

• Possess at least one year of armed security-related experience, law enforcement experience, or military experience.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to visitors, staff, and families at a government services location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established reporting and notification procedures.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of assigned interior and exterior areas, access points, and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor entry and exit activity, verify authorized access in accordance with site procedures, and report suspicious activity or policy violations to appropriate personnel.
• Maintain accurate daily activity reports, incident documentation, and communication logs while supporting a professional and welcoming environment.
