Job summary

Allied Universal, North America’s leading security and facility services company, is seeking a Security Officer Government Services Building Access Control in New York, NY. You will protect clients in government services locations, monitor access, deter incidents, and deliver professional customer service.

This full-time role requires teamwork, integrity, and vigilance, with a day-oriented schedule and $18.87 per hour pay.

Qualifications

• Minimum one year of armed security, law enforcement, or military experience.
• Age 18+ for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Background check required by federal/state/local laws.
• Drug screen required, where permitted by law.
• Licensing may be required by state/local laws.
• Valid driver’s license for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to visitors and staff while following security procedures.
• Respond to incidents and disturbances calmly and report them per procedures.
• Conduct regular unarmed patrols of interior and exterior areas and perimeters.
• Monitor entry/exit, verify access, and report suspicious activity.
• Maintain daily activity reports and logs with a professional demeanor.
