Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer Government Services Building Control Access in New York, NY. You will serve and safeguard government locations, conduct routine patrols, monitor entry points, and maintain a professional presence to deter security incidents.

Qualifications

• At least 1 year of security-related experience.
• Armed security, law enforcement, or military experience: 1 year or more.
• Age 18+ for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Background check required by law.
• Drug screen required.
• Licensing may be required by state/local laws.
• A valid driver’s license required for driving roles only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to staff, visitors, families, and agency partners by following site procedures.
• Respond to incidents calmly and document activities per site procedures.
• Conduct regular unarmed patrols of government office areas and perimeter.
• Monitor access points and verify visitor entry; report concerns to site contacts.
• Maintain accurate logs and incident reports and communicate with leadership.
