Government Services Account Manager, West

Overview

The primary role of the Government Services Account Manager is to achieve/exceed the revenue and market share goals established by Oticon throughout his/her territory through excellent selling skills, exceptional product training, and a best-in-class customer experience. The territory includes the West Region: California, Arizona, Oregon, Nevada, Hawaii, and Guam. The manager will accomplish these goals through customer identification, development, maintenance, and retention. They are also responsible for promoting Oticon's goals and mission through professional representation.

Responsibilities
  • Manage the territory and budget to meet or exceed sales and visit targets, focusing on new business growth and existing customer retention.
  • Analyze financial data to understand business performance and achieve revenue and unit goals.
  • Develop and implement new sales initiatives and strategies annually.
  • Track field performance and sales activities consistently for call preparation and follow-up.
  • Create strategic call plans per customer to increase sales and account penetration.
  • Implement all steps of the selling process effectively, communicating product benefits convincingly.
  • Provide training and follow-up visits to improve counseling, fitting, and fine-tuning of Oticon products.
  • Promote Oticon values and mission to Government Service professionals.
  • Conduct workshops and seminars on audiological topics.
  • Participate in industry exhibits and sales conventions to foster relationships and develop skills.
  • Partner with Clinic Support Audiologists to optimize results.
  • Build and maintain professional relationships with internal teams and external clients.
  • Travel extensively within the territory, including overnight stays.
  • Perform additional tasks as directed by the manager.
Qualifications
  • Master’s degree or higher in Audiology required.
  • 3+ years of clinical experience and success in hearing healthcare sales preferred.
  • Ability to travel up to 80% of the time, including overnights.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines independently.
