Qualifications

• At least 1 year of armed security-related, law enforcement, and/or military experience.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Background check required by federal, state, and local laws.
• Drug screen required where permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements may apply per state/local laws.
• Driver’s license required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to visitors, staff, and the public following site policies and emergency procedures at a government human services location.
• Respond to incidents calmly and professionally, following reporting and escalation procedures.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of assigned areas to deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points, verify authorized entry, and assist with visitor management and directions.
• Document observations, incidents, and daily activities, and communicate to supervisors and site representatives.
