Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer Custody Officer for Irvine, CA. You will provide frontline security services at a government location, monitor access points, patrol premises, and maintain a professional presence to deter incidents.

In this full-time role, you’ll deliver customer service to visitors and staff, document incidents, and follow site-specific procedures. A valid driver’s license and background check are required; insurance and benefits are provided.

Qualifications

• Three years of combined law enforcement, military, or security experience, or a college degree.
• At least one year of security-related experience.
• A valid driver’s license is required.
• Background check and drug screening required.
• Access control and badge experience preferred.
• Minimum age 18 for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and the public while carrying out security-related procedures at a government location.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations following established protocols.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned buildings, public areas, and perimeter locations.
• Monitor access points and support visitor management by verifying authorization and documenting entries.
• Complete accurate activity logs, incident reports, and shift communications per site requirements.
