Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer Custody Officer in Westminster, CA. You will protect clients across various government locations, monitor entrances, respond to incidents, and maintain diligent records. The role emphasizes customer service, safety, and compliance with site procedures.

The position is full-time with a 30-hour minimum weekly commitment. Schedule will be set during onboarding, with training and onboarding processes guiding start date.

Qualifications

• At least 3 years of combined law enforcement, military, and/or security-related experience, or a college degree.
• At least 1 year of security-related experience.
• A valid driver’s license is required.
• CPR certification is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Background check in accordance with federal, state, and local laws.
• Background histories considered in compliance with applicable laws.
• Drug screen required where permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements may apply.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and/or members of the public at a government location, following security procedures.
• Monitor access points, verify authorized entry, maintain visitor records, and report suspicious activity.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations calmly and coordinate with site contacts and emergency responders.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned areas, buildings, grounds, and perimeter to deter unauthorized activity.
• Complete accurate incident reports and daily activity logs in line with procedures.
