The role requires extensive experience with state utility commissions, regulatory analysis, and the ability to translate complex policy into clear external messaging for diverse audiences.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's in public policy or political science.
• 10+ years in government relations, regulatory affairs or public policy.
• Experience with state utility commissions.
• Familiarity with federal and state energy policy and regulatory frameworks.
• Ability to translate technical policy to external audiences.
• Proven track record creating advocacy and coalition campaigns.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement advocacy strategies for state policy issues.
• Monitor state legislation, rulemakings, and regulatory proceedings affecting the energy sector.
• Cultivate relationships with regulators, policymakers and utilities.
• Represent the company before state agencies and industry groups.
• Provide policy positions and regulatory comments to support customers and markets.
• Support commercial teams in market expansion efforts.
