Qualifications

• Experience using ATS, CRM platforms, job boards, and digital sourcing tools.
• Proficiency with Boolean searches and proactive talent pipeline development.

Responsibilities

• Manage recruiting lifecycle from requisition intake through onboarding coordination.
• Support high-volume government hiring for Acceptance Facilities and Processing Centers.
• Conduct screenings, interviews, assessments, and reference checks.
• Build strong candidate relationships and maintain regular communication.
• Partner with internal teams to ensure timely onboarding and meeting deadlines.
• Develop proactive sourcing strategies and talent pipelines for ongoing needs.

AppleOne is seeking an experienced Government Recruiter to support high-volume hiring for government workforce programs. This remote opportunity is ideal for a results-driven recruiting professional who excels at sourcing talent, managing multiple requisitions, and meeting demanding hiring goals.

• Location: Richmond, Virginia
• Schedule: Must be available to work East Coast business hours
• Travel: Occasional travel to Washington, DC, may be required for client meetings

Full-Cycle Recruiting & Candidate Management

• Manage the recruiting lifecycle, from requisition intake and candidate sourcing through interviews, offers, and onboarding coordination.
• Support high-volume hiring for government Acceptance Facilities and Processing Centers.
• Conduct candidate screenings, interviews, assessments, and reference checks.
• Build strong candidate relationships and maintain consistent communication throughout the hiring process.
• Partner with internal teams to ensure timely onboarding, minimize candidate fallout, and meet hiring deadlines.
• Develop proactive sourcing strategies and talent pipelines for ongoing and anticipated hiring needs.
• Identify qualified candidates through LinkedIn, job boards, Boolean searches, employee referrals, networking, and community partnerships.
• Leverage applicant tracking systems, candidate databases, and recruitment marketing tools to maximize recruiting efficiency.
• Build talent communities and develop creative sourcing solutions for hard-to-fill positions.

Government Hiring & Compliance

• Ensure recruiting activities align with government contract requirements, client standards, and applicable hiring procedures.
• Coordinate with Employee Relations and Compliance teams to support background checks, employment eligibility verification, and onboarding requirements.
• Maintain accurate, complete, and audit-ready candidate documentation.
• Present qualified candidates to hiring managers within established timelines.

Recruiting Performance & Process Improvement

• Track recruiting activity, candidate pipelines, hiring progress, and key performance metrics.
• Provide regular hiring updates and identify opportunities to improve recruiting efficiency and candidate experience.
• Utilize recruiting technology, automation, and AI-enabled sourcing tools to enhance productivity.
• Participate in hiring events, recruiting initiatives, and workforce outreach programs.

Required Qualifications

• 3+ years of recruiting experience in staffing, workforce solutions, government programs, or high-volume hiring environments.
• Demonstrated success managing full-cycle recruiting and meeting aggressive hiring targets.
• Strong candidate sourcing, screening, interviewing, and relationship-building skills.
• Experience using applicant tracking systems (ATS), CRM platforms, job boards, and digital sourcing tools.
• Proficiency with Boolean searches and proactive talent pipeline development.
• Strong organizational, communication, and time management skills.
• Ability to manage multiple requisitions and competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Excel, Outlook, Teams, and Word.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience recruiting for federal government, state and local government, education (SLED), or government-contracted workforce programs.
• Familiarity with government hiring requirements, background screening, employment eligibility verification, and workforce compliance.
• Experience supporting high-volume onboarding and new-hire readiness.
• Experience leveraging recruitment marketing, automation, and AI-powered sourcing technologies.
