Job summary

Arete Associates in Tucson, AZ seeks a Government Property Specialist responsible for control, accountability, and reporting of government and customer-owned property in compliance with FAR, DFARS, and contract requirements.

The role collaborates with Contracts, Program Management, IT, Security, and Supply Chain to ensure proper property management throughout contract execution; travel and security clearances are required.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of government property management experience.
• Knowledge of FAR Part 45 and DFARS Part 245.
• Ability to communicate effectively in writing and verbally.
• U.S. citizenship required; Top Secret clearance eligibility preferred.
• Travel about 30% (CA, VA).

Responsibilities

• Monitor government property receiving, identification, storage, movement and issue.
• Support improvements to property management processes, tools and training.
• Provide guidance to technical and operations teams on policies and procedures.
• Prepare government property accountability reports (inventories, loss/damage reports, closeout).
• Collaborate with Contracts, PM, IT, Security, Supply Chain, Production and Operations.
• Maintain records in the property management system per company policy.
• Apply FAR/DFARS guidance in daily responsibilities.
• Support internal and external audits and inquiries.
• Support subcontractor compliance with property flowdown requirements.
