Job summary

Peraton in Washington, DC seeks a Network Manager to lead planning, delivery, and maintenance of enterprise networking services for the Department of Transportation's EITSS program across HQ and 200+ field locations.

You will oversee core network architecture, data connectivity, cloud integration, and performance to ensure secure, reliable, and highly available services for critical DOT missions, collaborating with cybersecurity teams and program security leads.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience in network operations or network engineering.
• 3+ years in a leadership or management role.
• Minimum of one network industry certification such as CCNP, CCNA, JNCIS, or equivalent.
• Strong experience with enterprise WAN/LAN, routing/switching, and network security practices.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership for enterprise network operations across DOT locations.
• Oversee network architecture updates, standards, and optimization for DR, modernization and cloud migration.
• Lead networking services including access control, monitoring, and connectivity to data centers and cloud environments.
• Coordinate with cybersecurity teams to implement security controls and support incident response.
• Staff operate the Network & Security Operations Center on a 24x7x265 basis.
• Ensure DOT governance, change management, and federal security standards.
