Allied Universal is seeking a Security Guard for a Government Service Building Access Control role in New York, NY. You will protect and serve clients across government services by patrolling, monitoring access points, and delivering professional customer service in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• One year of armed security-related, law enforcement, or military experience is preferred.
• Must be at least 18 for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Background check will be conducted as per federal, state, and local laws.
• Criminal histories considered in accordance with applicable laws.
• Drug screen required where permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements vary by state/local regulations.
• Driver's license required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, families, and the public by following security procedures and emergency response actions at a government services location.
• Respond to incidents calmly and professionally, notifying site contacts and emergency services as needed.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of interior and exterior areas to deter unauthorized activity and identify security concerns.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity; verify authorization and maintain logs and incident documentation.
• Communicate clearly with diverse populations while maintaining confidentiality and following site policies.
