Job summary

Amazon Web Services (AWS) seeks a Delivery Consultant specialized in Data Engineering & Architecture to design, build, and optimize data platforms for federal, state, local government, and national security customers. You will work from a listed location; travel to client sites may be required.

US Citizenship and Top Secret clearance are required. You will help clarify business outcomes, deliver scalable data analytics apps, and mentor the team while collaborating with AWS Professionals Services

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, mathematics or equivalent.
5+ years of database (eg. SQL, NoSQL, Hadoop, Spark, Kafka, Kinesis) experience.
Experience with SQL, Python, schema definition, and software engineering best practices including secure, testable, and maintainable code.
Understanding of distributed systems, data integration techniques and database performance tuning.
Current, active US Government Security Clearance of Top Secret or above.

Responsibilities

Clarify customer outcomes and translate them into data architecture and engineering solutions.
Design and build scalable, secure data analytics applications in the cloud.
Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and propose migration strategies.
Identify risks and communicate trade-offs in solutions and services.
Act as a trusted advisor on data technologies and industry trends.
Mentor teammates and share reusable artifacts within the organization.
