Job summary

Tyonek Native Corp is seeking a Billing Specialist to manage all billing data, generate invoices, and transmit to customer billing systems. You will work with operations, contracts and program finance to identify projects needing billing or funding, ensuring alignment with contractual terms.

The role requires government contract billing experience, knowledge of FAR/CAS, and proficiency with Excel, Cognos and Deltek Costpoint.

Qualifications

• Requires a bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, Accounting or related field.
• 5+ years government contract billing experience.
• Experience with Fixed Price, Progress Billing, Milestone Billing, and Cost-Plus billing.
• Knowledge of FAR & CAS regulations as they apply to government invoicing.
• Knowledge of overhead rates/pools from an invoicing perspective.
• Experience reviewing government contract awards for billing requirements.
• Proficient in Excel and Cognos.
• Deltek Costpoint experience; detail oriented and deadline driven.

Responsibilities

• Ensure billing parameters match contractual agreements and maintain billing schedule.
• Prepare monthly manual billings for projects per contract terms.
• Process and submit electronic invoices to customers using WAWF and other methods.
• Interpret FAR regulations and advise on compliant invoicing requirements.
• Be the customer interface for billing issues and resolve accounts receivable.
• Maintain project invoice files and monitor the Billing Mailbox.
• Assist customers with billing inquiries and coordinate with other departments.
• Support month-end and year-end closings.
• Provide mentoring to billing clerks.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
