Coconino County is seeking a highly skilled accounting professional to oversee governmental budgeting and financial analysis. The role involves working with county-wide financial information that affects county operations, under direct supervision.

The successful candidate will be hired within the Broadband tract based on their years of governmental accounting experience and will participate in budget administration and reporting. Strong Excel and MS Office skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or related field or equivalent experience.
• Strong knowledge of budgeting and financial analysis for government operations.
• Experience with governmental budgeting and financial record keeping.

Responsibilities

• Participates in the administration and development of the budget.
• Reviews and evaluates budget requests.
• Monitors and analyzes accounts and budget variances.
• Coordinates the assembly and dissemination of budget documents and reports.
• Reviews contracts, agreements, and purchase requisitions for funding.
