Job summary

Seattle City Light, located in Seattle, WA, seeks an organized Operations Analyst to support the Government & Legislative Affairs team and Office of the Chief of Staff. The role focuses on administrative operations, travel processing, invoicing, procurement, and council liaison duties.

You will handle budget oversight, meeting coordination, and preparation of briefing materials while supporting legislative processes at state and federal levels.

Qualifications

• Two years of administrative experience.
• Bachelor's degree in business or public administration or related field.
• Current Washington State driver's license or ability to obtain within 30 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Perform daily administrative functions including travel processing, invoicing, procurement requests, credit card reconciliation, and office support.
• Budget preparation and oversight.
• Support Review Panel activities: meeting coordination, notes, onboarding documentation, website posting, accessibility compliance, and distribution lists.
• Ensure accuracy and timely submission of City Council legislation for Legistar upload and GM approval.
• Coordinate Council briefings, committee meetings, stakeholder engagements, and manage Council-related customer escalations.
• Assist with state and federal legislative processes, including Lobbygov bill reviews by utility staff, training compliance, and lobbying report submission.
• Maintain Government Relations and Council Relations SharePoint and Teams channels.
• Prepare executive-level presentations, correspondence, research, and briefing materials.
• Support special projects and coordination across internal departments and external partners.
