Seattle City Light is seeking a Senior Cost Accountant to join its Accounting Division. The role focuses on maintaining the general ledger, asset accounting, depreciation, and final bill cost for large Time & Material jobs, with emphasis on GASB/GAAP compliance and regulatory reporting.

Under limited supervision, you will analyze financial data, produce reports, and support management with cost controls and policy refinements. The position offers an hourly wage and is based in Seattle.

Qualificações

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting and 3+ years of professional accounting experience (general or governmental).
• Experience with GASB, GAAP and FERC.
• Strong analytical, reconciliation and reporting skills.

Responsabilidades

• Maintain general ledger and financial records for assets and depreciation.
• Prepare accounting/financial and investment data and reports.
• Record asset retirements and depreciation expense.
• Lead final bill cost processes and time/material job cost tracking.
• Perform research, reconciliations, and financial analysis.
• Ensure compliance with GASB, GAAP and regulatory requirements (FERC).
• Deliver management reports and ad-hoc analyses.
