Job summary

Neros, a defense technology company, is seeking a Government Affairs Manager in Washington, DC to lead congressional and executive engagement and to grow the company’s political operations.

The role requires 6+ years in government affairs or defense policy, deep knowledge of the U.S. defense ecosystem, and strong relationships with Congress and the DoD. You will translate technical issues into policy narratives while communicating effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• 6+ years in government affairs, defense policy, or related roles with a track record of influencing policy and regulatory outcomes.
• Deep knowledge of the U.S. defense ecosystem, including DoD procurement, congressional appropriations, and national security policy.
• Strong existing relationships within Congress, the Department of Defense, and relevant regulatory agencies.
• Proven ability to translate complex technical issues into compelling policy narratives.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and public speaking skills.
• Strategic thinker with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

What you will be doing

The Government Affairs Manager will be responsible for supporting Neros's ongoing Congressional and Executive engagement strategy. This position will lead expanding relationships with key Members of Congress, the National Security Council, and the Pentagon civilian leadership. This position will also play an active role in growing Neros' political operations.

You should have the following

• 6+ years of experience in government affairs, defense policy, or related roles, with a strong track record of success influencing policy and regulatory outcomes
• Deep knowledge of the U.S. defense ecosystem, including DoD procurement, congressional appropriations, and national security policy
• Strong existing relationships within Congress, the Department of Defense, and relevant regulatory agencies
• Proven ability to translate complex technical issues into compelling policy narratives
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and public speaking skills
• Strategic thinker with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment

Nice to have

• Legislative and Executive Branch experience (preferably DoD)
• Ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance

US Salary Range

• $110,500 - $154,500 USD

The salary range for this role is an estimate based on a wide range of compensation factors, inclusive of base salary only. Actual salary may vary based on (but not limited to) work experience, education and/or training, critical skills, and/or business considerations. Highly competitive equity grants are considered part of Neros' total compensation package.
