Job summary

Koniag Professional Services, a Koniag Government Services company, seeks an experienced Project Leader (Governance) to support governance operations for multiple projects in the DC area. You will lead governance tasks, coordinate with the OCIO and program offices, and mentor engineers through the ADP life cycle.

The ideal candidate has 8+ years in IT governance or project leadership, strong communication, and a proven ability to manage complex programs.

Qualifications

• Eight years of experience or equivalent
• Two years as a task leader managing engineers and the full ADP life cycle
• Knowledge of governance frameworks, processes, and best practices in IT or related fields
• Strong leadership and project management skills, with ability to manage multiple projects and teams
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills across levels
• Familiarity with industry standards, regulations, and compliance related to governance and IT operations

Responsibilities

• Serve as the Governance lead, directing governance operational support across multiple projects.
• Provide overall direction and oversight of governance activities and adherence to policies.
• Manage interface with senior levels of the customer's organization.
• Consult with customer and contractor personnel on governance artifacts and schedules.
• Establish and maintain reports showing project progress to management and customers.
• Oversee completion of governance tasks and support team members as needed.
• Support OCIO and program offices for seamless governance coordination.
• Lead a group of engineers and manage the full ADP life cycle in software engineering for at least two years.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
