Job summary

PJT Partners is seeking a Summer Analyst for the Camberview and Governance teams in San Francisco. You will participate in client work, business development, and research while being staffed on multiple assignments, collaborating closely with senior members.

Upon completion of training, you will contribute to investor relations projects, governance analyses, and client presentations, gaining exposure to advisory services for public companies and institutions.

Qualifications

• Outstanding qualitative, technical and analytical skills (PowerPoint, Word and Excel).
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Aptitude to work collaboratively in a team environment.
• Robust organizational and time management skills.
• Strong work ethic and ability to work well under pressure.

Responsibilities

• Work within assigned client teams to support all aspects of client mandates, demonstrating a comprehensive understanding of each assigned client, their business and their governance structure and profile
• Support identification and analysis of corporate governance and proxy voting issues facing public companies and assist in developing a plan for successfully advising companies on these issues
• Assist in preparation of sophisticated and effective management, board and investor presentations across a range of corporate governance issues
• Research, analyze and develop materials relating to institutional investors, market and peer practices and recent governance and activism trends for use with clients
• Help prepare senior team members for client meetings, including engagements with company leadership and board members
• Contribute to the firm's intellectual leadership by supporting the development of research materials with broad applicability
