Qualifications

Job Summary

The Data Governance Analyst supports agency-wide data governance by putting IDOH policies and SOPs into practice. The role maintains metadata and Dataset Reference Sheets, governs critical data elements, writes data quality rules, and coordinates centralized data sharing and access governance. The analyst also serves as a resource on policy interpretation, training, and stewardship best practices.

Roles and Responsibilities

Centralized Data Sharing & Access Governance

• Intake, triage, and route internal and external data requests
• Maintain audit trails and enforce director accountability and delegation
• Coordinate with Legal (OLA) on Data Sharing Agreements, retention, and destruction obligations
• Track request timelines and SLA adherence, and accelerate overdue items Experience
• Informatica Enterprise Data Catalog (or similar): 2 years
