Quest Defense Systems & Solutions, Inc. in Blue Ash, OH is seeking a hands-on Controller with deep government contracting accounting experience to lead DCAA/DCMA compliance, allocate indirect rates, and drive audits. This role requires Unanet ERP expertise and GAAP reporting for complex DoD projects.

Qualifications

• 8–10+ years progressive accounting/finance in Government Contracting.
• Controller-level experience within a U.S. Government contractor.
• Bachelor’s in Accounting/Finance (CPA strongly preferred).
• Unanet hands-on design and implementation required (other GovCon ERPs valued).
• Aerospace & Defense/DoD/federal engineering services experience.
• Advanced knowledge: FAR Part 31, DFARS, CAS applicability, DCAA audits, U.S. GAAP, government cost accounting.

Responsibilities

• Lead DCAA/DCMA compliance and respond to audits.
• Own fringe/overhead/G&A pools and allocation bases; set provisional billing rates and monitor variances.
• Prepare ICP/ICS; manage rate negotiations and closeouts.
• Configure/optimize ERP (Unanet) for GovCon; integrate across accounting, contracts, PM, forecasting.
• Run GL, AP/AR, billing, payroll accounting, cash, fixed assets, project accounting; drive timely close and GAAP reporting.
• Monitor funding, LoF/LoC, burn rates, backlog, revenue/margin; support mods and closeouts.
• Support proposal pricing with indirect rates and accounting inputs.
