Job summary

Medallia is seeking a Site Reliability Engineer II to operate and improve our GovCloud platform for US public-sector customers. This hands-on role focuses on reliable, secure, and compliant cloud infrastructure on AWS and Kubernetes, with a mix of on-site collaboration and remote flexibility.

You will work with engineering and security teams, grow toward owning larger systems, and contribute to platform upgrades, observability, and incident response in a regulated environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field or equivalent experience.
• 2+ years in Site Reliability/DevOps or related roles.
• Production experience with cloud platforms (AWS preferred), Terraform, Git, CI/CD, Linux, TLS/certificates, and databases.

Responsibilities

• Build, operate, and improve highly available, secure cloud infrastructure on AWS and Kubernetes.
• Manage VPCs, subnets, routing, security groups, and load balancers.
• Maintain production PostgreSQL, including backups and recovery.
• Respond to incidents and drive fixes to improve reliability.
• Develop infrastructure code with Terraform and deployment workflows with GitOps.
