Job summary

CACI International Inc. is seeking a Cloud Operations Administrator to support the expansion of government cloud technologies, migrating on-premises services to Commercial Cloud Enterprise (C2E). The role emphasizes automation, cost optimization, and secure cloud operations for AF DCGS.

Required TS/SCI clearance, 5+ years of ops experience, and deep AWS expertise. The position may entail up to 10% travel within the Continental US, with a rotating on-site support schedule.

Qualifications

• Active TS/SCI clearance.
• BA/BS Degree in STEM field or equivalent experience in lieu of degree.
• Minimum 5 years of operations experience providing application infrastructure support.
• Strong interpersonal, problem solving, organizational, and multi-tasking skills.
• Experience administering web-based applications.
• Strong oral and written communication skills.
• Competent in AWS EC2, AWS VPC, AWS CloudWatch, AWS S3, AWS IAM, AWS CloudFormation, AWS CLI.
• 1+ years of experience implementing and supporting AWS or equivalent cloud enterprise solutions.
• Background in provisioning, deploying, operating, and maintaining enterprise storage, compute, and network solutions (preferably in the cloud).
• Network security concepts such as IPsec, VPN, SSH, and TLS; experience with load balancing, proxies, monitoring, and troubleshooting.
• SDLC, ticketing systems, tiered support workflows and processes.
• Operating in agile environments.
• Familiarity with scripting languages (Bash, PowerShell, Python, etc.).
• Developing plans, policies, and procedures to monitor cloud application status.
• Backups and disaster recovery.

Responsibilities

• Manage, operate, secure, and deploy AWS in GovCloud/SC2E/C2E for AF DCGS.
• Collaborate with AF DCGS Cloud Engineering Team, DAF CLOUDworks, and vendors to resolve incidents.
• Operate and manage cloud-based infrastructure, capacity, and cost oversight, DR planning.
• Create processes to measure system effectiveness and identify improvements.
• Seek automation to minimize cost and enhance operations.
• Build and support metrics for production services.
• Plan capacity based on utilization metrics and project forecasts.
• Review proposed changes with stakeholders and ensure post-implementation checks.
• Communicate change impacts to stakeholders in a timely manner.
• Coordinate with patch management and service upgrades teams.
• Aid in maintaining cloud environment compliance.
• Engage with management, risk, and compliance as needed.
• Participate in rotating 24x7 on-site support.
• Support automation in the cloud environment.
