Job summary

Medallia is seeking a GovCloud QA Engineer to own end-to-end quality for GenAI onboarding and releases. You will partner with engineering, security, and GovCloud teams to validate features in a demanding cloud environment and ensure robust quality gates.

The role offers hybrid work with three onsite days per week, located near Tysons, VA. You will drive test strategies for AI features, build automation, and mentor peers while navigating regulated environments and complex SaaS deployments.

Qualifications

• Eligibility: Must reside in the U.S. and hold U.S. Citizenship or a Green Card to meet GovCloud compliance and access requirements
• Based in the greater Washington, DC area or Tysons, VA area
• 5+ years in software quality engineering, test automation, or related role
• Experience testing complex SaaS or enterprise apps at application and API layers
• Hands-on test automation in CI/CD pipelines
• Experience validating releases in regulated environments with staging, logs, APIs, and risk‑based judgment
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in CS or IS

Responsibilities

• Own GovCloud GenAI release quality end to end: test planning, staging validation, regression coverage, release sign-off, and documentation
• Collaborate with software engineering, security, release management, GovCloud customer management, and customer teams to deploy changes safely
• Design and run test approaches for AI features where pass/fail is not binary, including outputs and guardrails
• Develop and maintain automated test suites integrated into CI/CD pipelines
• Use AI-assisted tools to accelerate test design, automation, debugging, and documentation
• Mentor other QA engineers on automation and AI feature testing
