Job summary

Amazon Data Services, Inc. in Boardman, OR is seeking an Engineering Operations Technician I to support the operations of our world-class data centers.

You will help test and implement new technology, troubleshoot facility and rack-level events, and drive projects with moderate complexity. You will manage on-site contractors, maintain electrical, mechanical, and life-safety systems, follow safety procedures, and contribute to keeping 99.999% uptime for the AWS GovCloud region.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of electrical and mechanical facilities maintenance.
• 2+ years of Microsoft Office products and applications experience.
• Work flexible schedule including weekends, nights, and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Drive projects with moderate complexity.
• Assist in troubleshooting facility and rack-level events within SLA.
• Perform rack installs, decommissioning, readings and facility management.
• Provide key performance indicators to senior engineers.
• On-site management of contractors, sub-contractors and vendors ensuring work follows practices, procedures & local regulations.
