Job summary

Amazon is seeking an Engineering Operations Technician (AWS GovCloud Region) in Boardman, OR to support world-class data centers. You will perform electrical and mechanical maintenance, lead on-site contractors, and manage rack-level operations while ensuring safety and SLA adherence.

Ideal candidates have 2+ years in facilities maintenance, familiarity with procedures and engineering drawings, and a technical education.

Qualifications

2+ years of electrical and mechanical facilities maintenance, or 1+ years of electrical facilities maintenance and 1+ years of mechanical facilities maintenance.
2+ years of Microsoft Office products and applications experience.
Work flexible schedule including weekends, nights, and holidays.

Responsibilities

Drive projects with moderate complexity.
Assist in troubleshooting facility and rack-level events within SLAs.
Perform rack installs and decommissioning, readings and facility management.
Provide KPIs to senior engineers.
On-site management of contractors and vendors to ensure compliance with procedures and local laws.
Maintain electrical, mechanical, and fire/life safety equipment within the data center.
Follow safety procedures during work.
Write procedures and support building management systems.
