Job summary

HITT Contracting in Virginia seeks a Commercial Construction Superintendent to oversee field operations on GovCloud projects. You will lead safety, quality, and coordination among site staff and subcontractors to align with the project schedule and client expectations.

The role requires a four-year degree or equivalent experience, 5+ years in commercial construction, and proficiency with MS Office, ProCore, Adobe, and BlueBeam.

Qualifications

• A four-year degree in construction, engineering, or business is strongly preferred.
• 5+ years' experience in commercial construction, including experience with a commercial general contractor.
• Tenant renovations, service work, occupied spaces, weekend work, fast paced project experience are a plus.
• Ability to organize resources to meet tight deadlines and achieve desired results.
• Mastery of building processes and best practices; knowledge of MS Office, ProCore, Adobe, BlueBeam.

Responsibilities

• Understand and administer the HITT safety program for subcontractors, ensuring incidents are reported and safety inspections are supported.
• Maintain HITT quality standards for all aspects of the project.
• Serve as the leader for all on-site safety and manage a safe jobsite for all involved.
• Maintain daily log of activities and site conditions, manage punch list and closeout with owner/architect.
• Formulate project schedule with the project manager and ensure proper methods and sequences are followed.
• Maintain relationships with subcontractors and promote fair treatment.
• Ensure complete, accurate daily documentation of work orders and subcontractor scope.
• Develop and organize the site team, arrange temporary facilities/utilities, and identify long lead items.
• Collaborate with the project manager and site operations team throughout the life of the project.
