Job summary

Apex Technology, Inc. is seeking a Cloud Infrastructure Security Engineer to design and secure multi-cloud environments supporting U.S. government missions.

The role focuses on protecting classified data across AWS GovCloud, Azure, and hybrid setups while meeting NIST, FedRAMP, RMF, and DoD IL-4/IL-5 requirements. You will implement IAM/RBAC, encryption, Zero Trust, and cloud-native security tools, while maturing CI/CD security and IaC governance.

Qualifications

• 5–9+ years of cloud security engineering experience in multi-cloud environments.
• U.S. citizen with ability to obtain necessary clearances.
• Bachelor’s degree in cybersecurity, information assurance, CS, or equivalent experience.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement secure cloud architectures across AWS GovCloud, Azure, and Google Cloud.
• Maintain compliance with NIST, FedRAMP, RMF, and DoD IL requirements.
• Configure IAM/RBAC, Zero Trust, encryption, and data protection across clouds.
• Deploy security tools (Defender, Sentinel, SIEM) and enable threat monitoring and response.
• Prototype and enforce IaC guardrails (Terraform, CloudFormation) for secure pipelines.
• Lead security assessments, vulnerability scans, and incident response planning.
