Job summary

Aikido is seeking a Senior Cloud Engineer to own and operate the AWS GovCloud infrastructure behind our U.S. public sector cloud. You’ll drive reliability, security, and compliance in a regulated environment.

You’ll maintain Kubernetes-based platform infrastructure, manage deployments and troubleshooting, and collaborate with leadership to meet government constraints; U.S. citizenship is required for FedRAMP access. This role offers high ownership, growth, and impact.

Qualifications

• Strong hands-on experience with Kubernetes in production.
• Strong experience with AWS, including AWS GovCloud.
• Experience operating and maintaining cloud infrastructure.
• U.S. citizenship is required for access to the FedRAMP environment.
• Ability to work independently in a fast-moving, high-ownership environment.

Responsibilities

• Own and operate AWS GovCloud infrastructure in support of our FedRAMP environment.
• Maintain and improve Kubernetes-based platform infrastructure for reliability, performance, and security.
• Handle day-to-day cloud operations: deployments, updates, configuration changes, monitoring, and troubleshooting.
• Support last-mile implementation work required to adapt and maintain a regulated version of Aikido’s broader platform.
• Partner closely with leadership and Aikido cloud architecture to keep environments aligned while meeting government-specific constraints.
• Respond to infrastructure and customer support needs that require hands-on access inside the U.S. regulated environment.
• Help ensure operational readiness, resilience, and compliance as ASD scales its federal footprint
