Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting (preferred) or related business field.
• Active CPA and/or CGFM certification.
• 4+ years of public accounting or 7 years in a state/local gov finance department.
• Knowledge of GASB standards and government auditing.
• Experience with governmental financial close and ACFR processes.
• Strong project management and communication skills.
• Willingness to travel up to 40%.

Responsibilities

• Plan, manage, and perform engagements including ACFR preparation and new standard implementations.
• Supervise staff, review work, and engage with clients on complex accounting issues.
• Develop tailored advisory solutions and define engagement scope and timelines.
• Oversee accounting staff training and ensure timely deliverables.
• Assist with business development and building client relationships.
