Job summary

EY's Government & Infrastructure – Consulting – Risk Consulting – Enterprise Risk, Controls & Resilience is seeking a Manager in McLean to lead engagements for federal/state clients. You will shape risk programs, drive internal controls, ERM and third‑party risk, and manage teams across onshore delivery centers.

Ideal candidates have 5+ years in internal controls or risk management, US citizenship with ability to obtain a Secret clearance, and experience with A-123, COSO and GAO frameworks.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or master's degree in a relevant discipline.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in internal audit, internal controls, ERM or resilience.
• US citizenship with ability to obtain/maintain a Secret clearance.
• CPA/CIA/CGFM/CDFM or equivalent certification preferred.
• Willingness to travel 25–30% in a hybrid environment.

Responsibilities

• Lead internal controls, audit readiness and risk engagements from planning through closure.
• Serve as primary contact for agency leaders and manage expectations.
• Advise on control design, governance, risk appetite and audit-readiness roadmaps.
• Design and operate third-party risk management programs and vendor due diligence.
• Own engagement economics including budget, staffing and margins.
• Shape offerings and lead proposals, grow client relationships.
